Camp
Hello and welcome to stay in a ger at “Khuvsgul Eco Tour” tourist camp in Khuvsgul Province, Mongolia. In 2002, “Khuvsgul Eco Tour” tourist camp was established in the closest campground in the Majestic Khuvsgul Lake, only 15 minutes driving from Khatgal village.
The ger camp capacity is around 80-120 guests at the same time and we serve guests from all over the world.
The camp service
24 hours’ electricity in each ger, comfortable toilets and shower, reception, daily housekeeping, and restaurant serving with a variety of Asian and European food. Laundry service and internet access are available. We proudly say that our authentic camp with friendly service, great food and clean facilities are related to our past 15 years’ experience.
Horse riding and Visit local families
There are a lot of activities that you can practice in or around Camp. If you want to do horse riding, our local partners can provide fully equipped horses and guides for you. You can also go and visit local nomad families living near the camp so you can taste and maybe buy their products. We suggest you to taste the fermented mare milk that that Mongolians call "airag" and the traditional Mongolian yogurt called "tarag", made of Yak's milk.
Boating and fishing
Location: Dood Modot Bulan area on the coast of Khuvsgul Lake, 886 km (553 miles) away from the capital city Ulaanbaatar and 106 km (66 miles) away from Murun City, 6 km (3.7 miles) away from Khatgal village.
Festivals
Each March residents of the Khuvsgul Lake area celebrate the Festival of Ice. The festival involves a great variety of activities and competitions, including Ice Sumo, ger building with ice, ice skating and sleigh rides, all on or by the shores of the beautiful Lake Khuvsgul. This two-day event is also a shamanist ceremony of offering and provides a fascinating insight into the Tsaatan people's way of life.
