Day-by-Day Itinerary
Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, transfer to your hotel and enjoy some time to relax before beginning your city tour. Visit Gandan Monastery, Mongolia's principal Buddhist monastery, where you can observe monks performing traditional prayers and admire the magnificent Migjid Janraisig statue, one of the tallest indoor standing Buddha statues in the world.
Continue to the National Museum of Mongolia, where exhibits trace the country's history from the Stone Age through the 21st century, including Mongolia's rich cultural heritage and Buddhist traditions. Afterwards, visit Sükhbaatar Square (Chinggis Khaan Square), the symbolic heart of the capital.
In the evening, transfer to the railway station at approximately 9:00 PM to board the overnight train to Sainshand.

Arrive in Sainshand, the capital of Dornogovi Province, at approximately 7:00 AM. Located near Mongolia's southern border with China, Sainshand is an important transportation and cultural center. Meet your driver, transfer to your hotel for breakfast, and enjoy some time to rest before beginning the day's sightseeing.
Visit the Dornogovi Provincial Museum, featuring fascinating collections of desert wildlife, marine fossils that reveal the region's ancient seabed, dinosaur remains, and historical exhibits related to Mongolia's 1921 People's Revolution.
Continue to the Danzanravjaa Museum, dedicated to Noyon Khutagt Danzanravjaa (1803–1856), one of Mongolia's greatest Buddhist scholars and cultural figures. The museum houses gifts from Tibetan and Chinese religious leaders, costumes from his theatrical performances, Buddhist statues presented by the 10th Dalai Lama, original paintings, rare medicinal herbs, and historical artifacts associated with his life. Later, visit a traditional camel-herding family to experience authentic Gobi hospitality.

After breakfast, travel approximately 43 km south of Sainshand to visit Khamar Monastery, founded in 1820. Before its destruction in 1937, the monastery served as one of the most important centers of Buddhist education and culture in Mongolia's Gobi region.
Continue to the nearby Shambhala Energy Center, a sacred spiritual site believed to possess powerful natural energy that attracts visitors seeking meditation, healing, and personal renewal.
Following a picnic lunch, travel to Khan Bayanzurkh Mountain, commonly known as the "Wish Mountain." According to local tradition, sincere wishes made here may come true. If time permits, enjoy a 2–3-hour hike through the beautiful desert landscape surrounding the mountain.
