Baga Gazriin Chuluu is a unique natural rock formation and historical site located in Delgertsogt soum of Dundgovi Province, Mongolia. It lies about 37 km northwest of the soum center and is surrounded by vast flat steppe. The area covers approximately 300 square kilometers and rises to an elevation of 1,768 meters above sea level, forming a distinctive granite rock zone in the middle of the steppe landscape.
The region is rich in natural springs, valleys, and historical remains. It contains ancient burial sites, khirigsuur (stone burial mounds), rock carvings, and monuments. Notable natural and cultural attractions include Sodiin Am with its poplar grove and canyon, the Jargalant Cave (18 meters long), Nüden Rashaan (Eye Spring), Takhiin Khavtsal (Sacred Cliff), Ger Khad (Yurt Rock), and numerous Xiongnu-era burial sites.
Wildlife such as argali sheep and ibex can also be found in the area. The highest point, Takhiin Khavtsal, reaches 1,768 meters above sea level. The Nuden Rashaan spring is locally believed to be beneficial for eye health due to its naturally formed narrow water channel.
A local legend from Sodiin Am tells of two monks who meditated in solitude there over 300 years ago and were eventually buried with their spiritual works, leaving behind a place of cultural and spiritual significance.
