Khovsgol Lake Adventure: -8Day Tour (With Flight)

Early in the morning, we will take a domestic flight to Murun City, the capital of Khovsgol Province.

From there, we will travel to Lake Khövsgöl, known as the “Blue Pearl of Mongolia.”

You will stay at a tourist camp located on the lakeshore, where you can admire the magnificent views of the crystal-clear lake and the surrounding taiga forest.

The third day of the journey around Lake Khovsgol will perfectly combine natural beauty, cultural discovery, and active experiences.

As the morning sunlight reflects on the clear surface of the lake, you will have the opportunity to explore the deep waters by taking a cruise on the Sükhbaatar ship or a speedboat.

You will visit the legendary Wishing Island and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscapes.

In the afternoon, we will visit a camp of the Tsaatan people, an indigenous community of northern Mongolia. You will learn about their traditional dwellings, reindeer herding culture, and experience their rare lifestyle that has been preserved for generations.

Afterward, you will enjoy a horseback riding journey along the forest paths beside the lake, experiencing the peacefulness of the taiga forest and the pure natural environment.

In the evening, you will relax by a campfire while watching the sunset over Lake Khovsgol, ending a truly unforgettable day.

The journey continues toward Uran Togoo Mountain, an extinct volcano located in Bulgan Province.

Uran Togoo is famous for its unique volcanic formation, featuring a crater with a small lake inside and surrounded by dense forest.

You will hike to the top of the mountain, walk along the crater rim, and observe this extraordinary natural landscape up close.

This area is a true paradise for photography enthusiasts, and the evening will be spent relaxing at a tourist camp located near the edge of the forest.

We will travel to Amarbayasgalant Monastery, one of Mongolia’s greatest architectural treasures located in Bulgan Province.

Built in the 18th century by the order of the Qing Emperor in honor of Undur Gegeen Zanabazar, this monastery is one of the best-preserved Buddhist monasteries in Mongolia.

Surrounded by beautiful mountains and valleys, the monastery offers a unique opportunity to observe Buddhist rituals and admire the traditional architectural style and craftsmanship of ancient buildings.

Leaving Amarbayasgalant Monastery, we will continue our journey to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, one of the most beautiful natural destinations near Ulaanbaatar.

The area is famous for its spectacular combination of rock formations, mountains, and rivers.

You will visit the iconic Turtle Rock and hike to the peaceful Aryabal Meditation Temple to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding nature.

You will also visit a nomadic family, experience horseback riding, learn about their daily activities such as making airag (fermented mare’s milk) and milking livestock, and spend an unforgettable evening in the countryside.

We will begin the city tour from Sukhbaatar Square, the heart of Ulaanbaatar, where you will visit the Government Palace and the statue of Chinggis Khaan.

Afterward, we will continue to Gandantegchinlen Monastery to discover Mongolia’s Buddhist cultural heritage.

At noon, you will have the opportunity to taste traditional Mongolian cuisine, including buuz (steamed dumplings) and khuushuur (fried meat pastries), at restaurants along the central road.

Continuing the tour, we will visit the National Museum of Mongolia to gain a brief insight into the history and culture of Mongolian nomadic civilization.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Gobi Cashmere Store to explore Mongolian cashmere products.

As evening falls, we will visit Zaisan Hill and enjoy the beautiful view of Ulaanbaatar’s illuminated cityscape.

on the final day of the journey, we will transfer you to Chinggis Khaan International Airport, bringing your unforgettable Mongolian adventure to an end.
